Our Story

We talk often of surrender, and then have such a difficult time then embracing it and what it really looks like. This experience is a step guide to a spiritual path, to treat a spiritual disease, the disease of self, that centers in the mind, is still a spiritual disease, requiring a spiritual solution! 

The dreaded disease of apartness, separation, perpetual darkness and disconnection. We must acknowledge our need for this treatment and come to believe that Jesus Christ can implement and impart it to us. Then comes the freely giving of yourself to the process, the surrender per se! Notice I said freely giving yourself to the process. Now although surrender is a process, it does not have to be so drawn out. 

We must develop a trusting relationship with GOD, then trust that he intends for us to love HIS kids, and DO IT! As we only exist within GOD, there is no more no less, this is where we begin to love ourselves enough to trust HIS love and begin this love affair with all that is GOD, which turns out is all things!! In everyone we love we love GOD, loving without expectation is all part of the same affair! Surrender is an absolute concept, that we perfect in our inability to practice it absolutely, but our imperfections should only serve to bring us closer to HIM by reinforcing our deep need for HIM and only HIM, remember all we love exists within HIM anyway! 

Step three is not Jesus take the wheel it’s “MY LIFE IS NOT MY BUSINESS ANYMORE!” Heck you can still jump out and roll when he’s driving! It’s riding in complete trust on the handle bars of a dirt bike across the Grand Canyon on a trapeze wire. Where the illusion of control is gratefully smashed to bits! It’s complete and absolute trust with zero reservations and absolute knowing that HE HAS YOU! It’s being ok with whatever he lets you keep but you know and believe that it’s all HIS anyway! At least that’s what it becomes.

This experience is an invitation to properly implement three prayers, that take you from: (3)GOD PLEASE HELP ME, I’M A MESS, said because there is nothing left for you to do, but pray or plot along in emptiness to: (7)GOD PLEASE CLEAN ME UP, after we do the work to acknowledge and recognize those things that make us in need of cleaning (everything we try and replace HIM with, or place in front of HIM), to: (11) DEAREST FATHER I WANT YOU INVOLVED IN EVERYTHING I DO! 

We go through this process of surrender from praying because there’s nothing else we can do to praying before we do anything at all! 

I believe that we can still sell our faith on its own merits when we look like people that have been fundamentally realigned! When we can show and explain to others how amazing actual and total surrender is! The abject freedom of having my life no longer being my business and all of your lives being my assignment instead! Properly articulating the gloriousness of God through total surrender then in turn makes the steps an urgent desire instead of a difficult task!!!
